Twinsburg -- A male suspect in a March 6 armed robbery who reportedly fleeced $4,700 from a cash advance business remained at large as of press time March 14.

A lone female employee working at Advance America at 9065 Darrow Road was not injured in the robbery.

Police continue to search for "a black male in his late 20's or early 30's, tall and slender, wearing a black hat, a black sweatshirt-type jacket, a gray scarf and gray pants," the lone suspect police believe was involved in the robbery. Police reports say the man was about 6-feet tall and about 200 pounds.

The suspect brandished a silver and black semi-automatic handgun and pointed it at the employee just before the business was set to close, according to police reports. Police are not divulging a specific type of handgun.

According to police, the suspect forced the employee to open a safe and a cabinet in the back of the store, as well as three cash drawers at the front of the store. The suspect reportedly then forced the employee to lie on the floor as he exited. The employee called her district manager after she heard the door close, and the manager advised her to call 911.

The still photograph of the suspect was taken from Advance America's video security system. Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect should call the Twinsburg Police Department at 330-425-1234 and the suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.
