Copper pipe taken from unoccupied home: An employee of a firm that maintains foreclosed homes told police Oct. 3 while checking on a Northeast Avenue property he discovered $2,500 worth of copper pipe stolen from the home.
Hay bales missing: The manager of Mindale Farms told police sometime between June 1 and Oct. 9, someone removed 200 hay bales valued at $1,800 stored near a barn on the property.
Copper pipe removed from residence: An employee of a firm that maintains a West Avenue property told police sometime between May 1 and June 1, someone removed $1,400 worth of copper pipe from the home.
Furniture, home items missing from storage facility: A Youngstown woman told police sometime between June 1 and Oct. 7, someone removed two wood trimmed couches valued at $1,200, a $100 dinette, a Pampered Chef starter set valued at $150 and a $40 set of copper pots from a Brittain Road storage facility. According to the report, the woman told police only she and the storage facility had copies of the keys to her unit.SFlb
Pot plants found on property: A Brimfield man told police Oct. 5 when he went to retrieve video from his trail cameras, he discovered multiple marijuana plants growing on the property, which is located on Mogadore Road.
Akron, Missouri man arrested on concealed weapons charge: Police arrested a 32-year-old Akron man and a 26-year-old Missouri man Oct. 4 after stopping them in a vehicle for marked lane violations on Northeast Avenue at Westvue. According to police, the department's K-9 officer alerted on the vehicle. While searching the vehicle, officers discovered a 25 caliber semiautomatic pistol and 25 caliber rounds under the passenger seat and a nylon holster in the center console. Both suspects were booked and transported to the Summit County Jail.
