Doors stolen from home under construction: Sometime between Oct. 15 and 21, someone entered a home under construction on Northeast Avenue, removing three unsecured doors with a total value of $3,400.
Akron woman nabbed for theft of jacket: Police issued a summons for theft to a 26-year-old Akron woman Oct. 20 after the loss prevention officer at a South Avenue business told police she observed the woman remove tags from a jacket, conceal it on her person and exit the store without paying for the item, which was valued at $70.
Items stolen from home: A Tallmadge couple in the process of repairing a Parmelee Drive residence told police Oct. 15 that sometime between Oct. 5 and 13, someone entered the home, removing a $250 radio and battery pack and a $25 hammer from inside.
Purse stolen from shopping cart: An Akron woman told police Oct. 17 while shopping at a South Avenue business, someone removed her purse from her shopping cart. According to the report, the purse contained identification, a debit card, $80 cash, a food stamp card, a cell phone and check book.
Car window smashed: A Southwest Avenue man told police Oct. 15 that sometime overnight, someone smashed his vehicle's rear driver side window while it was parked in his driveway. According to the report, nothing was missing from inside the vehicle. Damage was estimated at $200.
