Steel taken from business: An employee of a Southwest Avenue business told police sometime between 7:50 and 8:02 a.m. April 10, someone driving a dark colored truck removed steel valued at $100 from a building that had been torn down and was located behind the business.
Akron woman caught stealing steaks: Police issued a summons for theft to a 36-year-old Akron woman April 10 after the loss prevention officer at a South Avenue business told police he observed the suspect conceal $155 worth of steaks in her coat and purse and exit the store without paying for the merchandise.
Gas siphoned from truck: A Lisbon Drive man told police April 11 that sometime overnight, someone removed approximately $20 worth of gasoline from his truck, which had been parked in his driveway.
Bikes missing from patio: A Mogadore man told police April 13 that two bicycles, valued at $100 apiece, had been removed from his mother's East Avenue residence sometime in February or March. According to the report, the bikes had been stored on a patio at the front of her home.
Illegal assembly for the manufacture of drugs
Items to make meth found in yard: A Washburn Road man told police April 14 that he'd found a large black backpack at the rear of his property which contained cold medicine, denatured alcohol, acetone, peroxide and plastic jugs. According to the report, officers on the scene confirmed the contents to be part of a meth lab. The Summit County Drug Task Force was notified and requested to assist in a clean-up.
