Woman's wallet stolen: A Kent woman shopping at a Midway Plaza Sept. 3 told police when she got home she realized she had left her wallet in the store. According to the report, police viewed the store's surveillance video and saw a woman take and conceal the wallet which had been left at the register by the owner. Police were unable to identify the woman who took the wallet.

Akron woman arrested on warrants: Police issued a summons for theft to a 49-year-old Akron woman Sept. 3 after an officer observed the suspect, with whom he had had previous interactions, in the checkout line of a South Avenue business. According to the report, the suspect was found to have two felony warrants for her arrest, one through the Medina County Sheriff's Office and the other through the Summit County Sheriff's Office. The suspect was arrested, and during a search, cheese and coffee with a total value of $18 was found in her purse. She was picked up by the Summit County Sheriff's Office at the scene.

Akron man caught with stolen alcohol: Police issued a summons for theft to a 22-year-old Akron man Sept. 2 after an officer witnessed the suspect leave a South Avenue business carrying a bottle of vodka and a bottle of tequila with a total value at $58 which he had not purchased.

Man steals steaks: Police issued a summons for theft to a 57-year-old Northeast Avenue man Sept. 2 after he was observed walking out of a West Avenue business with $50 worth of steaks he had not paid for.
