THEFT

UPS delivery missing from porch: A Waterford Way man told police May 20 while he and his wife were away from their home, they received notification from UPS a box containing a pair of $30 softball cleats had been delivered to their address. According to the report, when they arrived home, the box was gone.

Akron man caught with stolen sunglasses: Police issued a summons for theft to a 33-year-old Akron man May 18 after loss prevention at a South Avenue business observed the man leave the store without paying for bamboo fiber fill valued at $3 and two pairs of sunglasses valued at $38. According to the report, responding officers located the suspect on Route 91 at Mogadore Road in Akron.

Tallmadge man caught with stolen razors: Police issued a summons for theft to a 54-year-old Tallmadge man May 14 after loss prevention at a South Avenue business reported seeing the suspect cut open a package of razors valued at $19 which he then put in his pocket before leaving the store without paying for the merchandise. Police initiated a traffic stop on South Avenue and the razors were discovered in the suspects's jacket pocket.

Wallet, gift cards removed from vehicle: An Elmwood Drive woman told police May 17 that sometime overnight, someone removed a $100 Coach wallet, multiple gift cards valued at $700 and $2 in change from her vehicle which was parked in the driveway.

Mogadore man nabbed in theft of medication: Police issued a summons for theft to a 25-year-old Mogadore man May 14 after loss prevention observed the suspect leave the store without paying for a $13 package of Clariitin, a $16 bottle of Clairspray and eyedrops valued at $6. The man was detained in the parking lot. According to the report, the suspect told police he had left his wallet in his vehicle and planned to return to the store to pay for the items.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE

Cable lines cut: A Green Glen Spur woman told police around 9:30 p.m. May 8, while she was streaming Netflix, the show went out. According to the report, she subsequently discovered she had no telephone or internet service. On May 10, the woman's husband checked the phone/cable lines outside their residence and found the lines had been cut. Damage was estimated at $100.

Mailbox run over by vehicle: An Amber Circle woman called police May 22 to report a reckless driver who had driven into her yard and ran over her mailbox. According to the report, police were unable to locate the vehicle. Damage was estimated at $100.

Vehicle keyed: An Atwood Drive woman told police May 23 that sometime overnight, someone had keyed her car, which was parked in her driveway. Damage was estimated at $300.
