 Baby Play Group -- Fridays, through November, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., no meeting Nov. 2. The group is designed for babies up to age 24 months with a caregiver. The library will provide a meeting room and developmentally appropriate toys.

 Preschool Pumpkin Patch Party -- Nov. 10, 11 a.m. For preschoolers with a caregiver. Professional dancer Shananne Lewis will help children celebrate all things autumn with a pumpkin song and dance party. Children are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing in their finest fall colors and experiment with music and dance.

Family programs

 For all ages. Children younger than age 5 should be accompanied by an adult.

 Knit and Crochet Club -- Nov. 8, 3 to 4:30 p.m. Those who'd like to learn how to knit and/or crochet and those who would like to share their abilities are invited to attend this program. All levels of expertise and all ages are welcome. Children younger than age 12 should be accompanied by an adult helper.

 Family Dance Evenings -- Thursdays, 7 p.m. Dress up, make believe and move to the music with this dance class series led by a professional dancer. Attend one session or all. No experience or skill required. Space is limited. Call the library to sign up.

* Nov. 8 -- Digging for Dinosaurs. Prehistoric fun as participants move like dinosaurs for a roaring good time.

* Nov. 15 -- Fairy Tale Fantasy. Once upon a time ... those who dream of dancing like a prince or princess may find this is the night their dreams come true.

 Elf School -- Dec. 1, 2 p.m. Decorate a gift bag and make a gift to go inside it. Elf hats optional. The library hot chocolate cafe will be open for sampling.

 Paws for Reading -- Every first and third Saturday of the month, 1 to 2 p.m. Look for therapy dogs Caesar or Sophie in the Children's area and improve reading skills by reading to a furry friend. Children may take along a book they are reading or choose one from the library.

Teen programs

 For grades 6 through 12, advance registration requested.

 I Love Chocolate! Nov. 20, 4 p.m. Sample different chocolates, compete against others in chocolaty contests, create an edible art masterpiece and learn some interesting facts about this favorite indulgent sweet.

Adult programs

 Book signing -- Nov. 28, 6:30 p.m. with Bob Treichler, author of History of Northeast Ohio Stoneware. Local author Treichler will discuss his new book focusing on the history of potteries and the families who worked in them in Middlebury, Akron, Mogadore, Cleveland, Portage County and more.

 Book discussions for adults, Mondays, 6:30 p.m.

 Monday Classic Movies -- Watch a classic movie taken from AFIs 100 years ... 100 movies.

* Nov. 5, 6:30 p.m. -- "ET the Extra Terrestrial" with Dee Wallace and Peter Coyote, 120 minutes.

 Monday at the Movies -- Watch a movie on the big screen at the library.

* Nov. 19, 6:30 p.m. -- "Joyful Noise" starring Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton, PG-13, 118 minutes.
