Home School Open Gym program -- one week left

 Home school open gym for all home school students in kindergarten through 12th grade will be offered Nov. 15 from 12:45 to 2:30 p.m. Students will learn a variety of sports skills, key health and fitness concepts and how to establish personal fitness goals. No pre-registration is necessary. Parents may choose to pay and play or pay to workout on their own. Cost is $3 for residents and $5 for non-residents. The class begins with a half mile to 1 mile timed run. Kickball and fun 'n stuff will be featured Nov. 15.

Adult volleyball
open gyms

 A volleyball court has been set aside for recreational pick-up games on Thursdays from 8 to 10 p.m. through Feb. 7, 2013. These open gyms are designed for men and women, ages 16 and older, who want to get together and play volleyball in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Organized team practices are not permitted. Volleyball open gyms are free for TRC Blue and Gold members and $8 per person for non-members.

Trim the Fat before the Turkey

 TRC would like to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving as it invites everyone to visit the facility Thanksgiving Morning (Nov. 22) from 7 to 11 a.m. to get a jump start on everyone's calorie-burn for the day. All areas of the building will be open; however, no classes will be offered. All members may take an adult friend or family member with them on Thanksgiving morning free of charge. Members must be present with guests when they arrive and guests must take a valid photo ID.

American Red Cross Babysitter's Training Class

 An American Red Cross Babysitter's Training Class will be offered Nov. 20 and 21 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The class, for ages 11 through 15, will provide participants with the skills and knowledge to safely and responsibly care for infants and children. The class covers topics like leadership development, the business of babysitting, safety, how to help children behave, basic child care and basic first aid. Children must attend both days of class to become certified in babysitting. Cost is $60 for TRC members and $65 for non-members. Register by Nov. 16.

Holiday Break Camp

 A Holiday Break Camp will be offered for children ages 5 through 13 Nov. 20 and 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. The supervised day camp includes organized games, crafts, field trips, movies and use of the soccer field and basketball courts. Lunch will be provided. Cost is $13 per child per day for residents and $17 per child per day for non-residents. Each additional child, both resident and non-resident is $11 per day. Before and after camp activities are available from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Children may be registered for before camp activities, after camp activities or both. Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided. Cost for both before and after camp activities is $11 per child per day for residents and $13 per child per day for non-residents. Cost for either before camp activities or after camp activities is $8 per child per day for residents and $10 per child per day for non-residents. Registration requested by Nov. 13.
