On Nov. 2, the Tallmadge High School Relay For Life team was presented the Youth Mission Impact Award for 2012 at the American Cancer Society's annual winter training.
The team was unanimously selected by the Relay Advisory Team as top role models for students taking the mission of the American Cancer Society and putting it into action.
The Tallmadge High School team also met the qualifications of ACS by specifically meeting the mission delivery before, during and after the event. The THS team carries out the mission year round, engaging the school campus and community in mission delivery. The team's ideas can be duplicated by other events across the country.
The THS Relay For Life Team video is being shared with other groups across the region, division and nation. To view, go to YouTube, Relay For Life stop motion: Stop This Train.
