Veterans Day service Nov. 12 at Historic Church
The Tallmadge American Legion, Kneil-Lawrentz Post 255, along with the city of Tallmadge will host a traditional Veterans Day program Nov. 12 at the Historic Church on Tallmadge Circle.
The Legion and the city invite Tallmadge area veterans and citizens to attend this annual program.
Those planning to attend should be seated by 9:45 a.m. as the program will begin at 10 a.m. Mayor David Kline and Daughters of the War of 1812 member Sharon Myers will speak.
The program will then move outside to the Veterans Park area where the Colors will be advanced by the Garfield High School Navy ROTC and a rifle volley to honor veterans and their dedicated service to their country will be provided by the Northeast U.S. Army Honor Guard. The Tallmadge Police Honor Guard will also be in attendance.
The Tallmadge High School Band under the direction of John Lenzo will perform. As the program closes, the church bells will toll.
