Queen of Heaven
Divine Mercy Sunday will be celebrated by Catholics April 7. The celebration will run from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, veneration of the Divine Mercy Image, singing of the Divine Mercy Chaplet, confessions and Benediction. A social will follow.
"Journey to Peace Bereavement Support," a ministry of information, consolation, spiritual and emotional support at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church will offer a free six-week series. For those of any faith having experienced the death of a loved one, the series will be held on six Mondays, beginning April 8 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the church. Ministry members will strive to provide Christian support and guidance for daily living for anyone suffering grief, whether recent or lingering from the past. First Church of God
First Church of God, 446 Northwest Ave. in Tallmadge, is promoting a drive to get supplies for Visiting Angels. Especially needed are walkers, wheelchairs, gently used crutches and unopened packages of adult diapers or sanitary napkins.
