An invitation for widows

The Widows of Faith, Hope & Charity invite all widows to join them at the 9 a.m. Mass on the third Tuesday of each month at St. Eugene Catholic Church,1821 Munroe Falls Ave., Cuyahoga Falls, for the intention of deceased spouses. This month's Mass has been scheduled for Feb. 18 followed by a presentation by Rose Rose, community relations Coordinator, Haven of Rest. Rose will discuss "Heal your Heart by Helping the Homeless."

Widows are asked to take a gently-used clean coat or sweater and/or full size toiletries.

The Widows of Faith, Hope & Charity began more than three years ago. Its mission is to pray each day for America and its leaders and to visit new widows. During each visit members give the new widow a gift bag containing two books -- "Prayer Book for Widows" and "Widow to Widow."

Ninety-seven gift bags have been distributed to help widows turn their mourning to joy. Seven parishes participate, but all widows are invited.
