First Congregational Church of Tallmadge, a Stephen Ministry church, offers two worship services Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 10 a.m.: Also offered Sundays are a 9 a.m. Sunday School and child care, a 10 a.m. childcare, a 10 a.m. children's and youth choirs, and 10:30 a.m. children's worship.
The Elder's Fellowship Group of First Congregational Church of Tallmadge, UCC is sponsoring an 11 day "Art of the Soul and Spirit" art exhibit through May 21. The exhibit will feature art work from church members ages 55 years and older and include acrylic, pottery, jewelry, ceramics, quilts, woodworking, painting (water color, oils). The exhibit is open daily during office hours: Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to noon; and Sunday, immediately following the 10 a.m. service of worship until 1 p.m.
Vacation Bible School: Under Construction -- June 22 through 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. Children ages 4 through fifth grade are invited to join "Construction Zone" at First Congregational Church in Tallmadge for a week of crafts, snacks, song, stories and games. These activities are designed to build Christian values and a relationship with God while having fun. Boy Scout Troop 361 Rummage Sale -- The boys of Troop 361 are hosting a "huge" rummage sale at First Congregational Church May 30 and 31. Those with any "treasure" items they would like to donate are asked to contact the church. The sale will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. both Friday and Saturday. All proceeds will support the supplies, activities and camp for Troop 361.
Warriors' Journey Home Ministry -- Listen, Speak, Heal is scheduled May 25 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Veterans and individuals of strong heart who would like to experience the healing circle for veterans are invited to attend. For future meeting times, visit the website warriorsjourneyhome.org.

Queen of Heaven
Marian May devotions of praying the rosary will take place at 7 p.m. each evening as follows: May 20 in front of the Church; May 30 at the Marian Shrine near the Perpetual Eucharistic Chapel.
An outdoor Memorial Day Mass on May 26 will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. in the pavilion, weather permitting. The service is in tribute to fallen servicemen and women and all deceased. A donut social will follow.
FUNFest 2014 has been scheduled for July 31; Aug. 1, 2 and 3 from 6 to 10 p.m. each evening. Rides, midway games, a KIDSCorner, Magical-Train rides except Friday, games of chance, live bands and good food will be featured. The grand prize winner of the car raffle will take home a loaded 2014 Chevy Equinox courtesy of the VanDevere Bunch; two second prizes of $500; and 10 third prizes of $100. All will be announced Sunday evening; winner need not be present.
