Tallmadge United Methodist

Dare to Share is a nutrition program sponsored by Tallmadge High School students, Rotary and Tallmadge United Methodist Church. Those who would like to contribute are asked to purchase small containers to go into backpacks: 100 percent juice boxes, beans and franks (pop-top), beef stew (pop-top), beef sticks, cereal bars, cereal bowls, fruit cups, pudding cups, jelly, shelf-stable milk, microwave popcorn, granola bars, oatmeal, peanut butter, pumpkin and sunflower seeds and tuna. Items made be brought to the Tallmadge UMC office.

The church will welcome the Rev. Jennifer Williamson as its guest minister Aug. 3 at the 8:45 and 10:45 a.m. service.

July 27 -- Worship with Communion at 8:15 and 10:30 a.m.; volunteers meet at the church at 5:45 p.m. to travel to Akron to deliver and help serve desserts to about 150 individuals at the Haven of Rest.

First Congregational

First Congregational Church of Tallmadge, a Stephen Ministry church, offers two worship services Sunday mornings at 9:30 worship and child care; and a 10 a.m. children's worship, for ages 3 through second grade.

Warriors' Journey Home Ministry -- Listen, Speak, Heal is scheduled Aug. 13 and 17 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Veterans and individuals of strong heart who would like to experience the healing circle for veterans are invited to attend. For future meeting times, visit the website warriorsjourneyhome.org.

First Congregational Church is the host church for an Alzheimer's Support Group for caregivers and family members. Alzheimer's, dementia and delirium affect the entire family and this group support is intended to provide assistance in coping strategy and care. The group meets on the last Tuesday every month at 11 a.m. at the church. For more information, call 330-633-4931. The group facilitator is trained by the Alzheimer's Association.

Tallmadge Church

of the Nazarene

Tallmadge Church of the Nazarene invites children ages 3 through sixth grade to Tumbleweed Gulch, a vacation Bible school that teaches "God's love changes everything," July 28 through Aug. 1 from 6 to 8 p.m.
