Scott Low took over the pastorship at Tallmadge United Methodist Church in July after pastoring in Solon, Cambridge and Wooster.
Low says he has great appreciation for a variety of worship styles, from the old favorite hymns and liturgy to the modern music genres and spontaneous prayers.
Low says he is committed to working with the staff and congregation at Tallmadge UMC "to trust God with our whole lives more each day and to help others to experience the wholeness that God offers in spite of living in a broken world.
"I truly believe the church must be more than a place where we simply talk about being and doing good.°The church must be, in the words of Bishop John Hopkins, 'a mission outpost' from where we are sent into our world with the transforming hope, healing, feeding, clothing and freeing power of Jesus Christ!"
Low has years of experience in youth ministry and believes strongly that children and youth are a vital part of the life of the church. He also says he believes he must be involved in the life of the community building bridges into the life of faith.
An avid bicyclist, downhill and cross-country snow skier, Low is also a big Ohio State Buckeyes fan, and enjoys watching and participating in most sports. During the spring and summer months, Low says he enjoys being a chaplain for the Cleveland Gladiators Arena Football Team.
