Recommended Action
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the minutes of the October 16, 2013 Regular Board of Education Meeting.

2. Recommendations of the Board of Education

2.1 Resolution
Recommended Action
It is recommended that the Board of Education adopt a resolution which increases the base salary of the administrative salary schedule 1.5% effective July 1, 2013, and assigns each administrator to the appropriate placement on the schedule. Also, that the contribution of the administrator share of health care will increase to 12% effective January 1, 2014, which is consistent with the other employee groups in the

2.2 Resolution
It is recommended that the Board adopt a resolution which increases the base salary of the administrative assistant/secretarial salary schedule 1.5% effective July 1, 2013, and assigns each administrative assistant/secretary to the appropriate placement on the schedule. Also, that the contribution of the administrative assistant/secretary share of health care will increase to 12% effective January 1, 2014, which is consistent with the other employee groups in the District.

3. Recommendations of the Treasurer

3.1 Acceptance of Financial Statements
The Treasurer will recommend acceptance of the Financial Statement as of October 31, 2013.

3.2 Donation
It is recommended that the Board of Education accept a donation in the amount of $560.00 from National Driver’s Education to be deposited into the High School Principal’s Account.

3.3 Donation
It is recommended that the Board of Education accept a donation in the amount of $2,000.00 from the Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce for all of the assistance with the recent Community Expo. This donation is to be used as follows:
• $650 — Music (including Show Choir, Jazz Band, Theater, Winter Guard, Munroe & Dunbar Music)
• $400 — Football players
• $350 — STEM/GTT (Robotics, Soap Box Derby, Industrial Arts)
• $250 — Art Department
• $250 — BPA
• $100 — Leaders in Action

4. Recommendations of the Superintendent of Schools

4.1 LEAP Program
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the request for a high school special education student to attend the LEAP Program through Harbor Education Services, Inc., Kent, Ohio for the remainder of the 2013-2014 school year at an amount of $15,375.00.

5. Personnel Items

5.1 Supplementals
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following supplemental duty contracts: Mick Jones, Head Coach, Bowling, Per Negotiated Contract; Scott Krainess (assistant boys bowling coach) and Jesse Box (assistant girls bowling coach); Katelyn Helmuth, assistant volleyball coach; and Dan Gnabah, THS Safety Patrol.

5.2 Substitute Teachers
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following as day-to-day substitute teachers for the 2013-2014 school year:

5.3 Unpaid FMLA
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the unpaid FMLA request of Kelly Pramik, ESL Tutor, effective December 17, 2013 through March 28, 2014.

5.4 Maternity Leave of Absence
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the request for paid maternity leave beginning approximately January 7, 2014 through approximately February 28, 2014 for Arene Staszak, teacher at Tallmadge High School.

5.5 Unpaid Leave of Absence
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the request for unpaid leave of absence for Julia Bozic, Paraprofessional at Dunbar Primary School, beginning December 11, 2013 until the end of the 2013-2014 school year

10.1 Public Comment
