Tallmadge Historical Society to host open houses
The Tallmadge Historical Society is providing a personal invitation to the public to attend an open house Sept. 29 29 from 2 to 4 p.m.
The Society is seeking past history about the old fire truck that continues to be in many area parades during the summer and fall. Those with information asked to attend the open house that day or let the Society know if they have any photos or memories about the fire truck.
The Old Town Hall will have cards, wooden miniatures and Tallmadge history books for sale. The Museum has many artifacts and books on display.
The Historic Church is one of 58 sites of the Ohio Historical Society, and the OHS passport books as well as the stickers are available at the Church.
Also on this Sunday, the Schenkenberger House at 35 Southwest Ave. will have on display, noted best seller author, Echo Herron's latest book "Noon at Tiffany's," the story of Tallmadge's own Clara Wolcott Driscoll, the noted designer of the Tiffany Lamps. Linda Alexander will have the book available that day for $15.
