Tallmadge LOWV to host Voter Awareness Night Oct. 17
The League of Women Voters of Tallmadge will host a Voter Awareness Night Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. in the Tallmadge Middle School's Les Bennett Center, 484 East Ave.
Five candidates for the three open seats for Tallmadge City Council-at-Large -- Democrats James Donovan, Robert Maguire and Kim Ray and Republicans John Rensel and James Nuznoff -- have been invited to speak. Candidates for the three open seats on the Tallmadge Board of Education -- Rick Kellar, Valorie Prulhiere and Chris Tywon -- have also been invited to participate.
There will also be speakers or literature available at Voter Awareness Night on tax levy renewals, Municipal Court Judge and Clerk seats.
Voter Awareness Night is an opportunity for citizens to hear candidates for public office speak in person and become informed about local ballot issues.
The Tallmadge League of Women Voters strives to provide fair, impartial and informative candidate and issues forums to help voters make informed choices at the polls.
