Joshua's Cafe prepares for this year's opening
Joshua's Cafe, part of the Six District Compact culinary arts program, is preparing for this year's opening.
The first-year students have been learning about safety and sanitation guidelines as well as equipment safety. They are also learning and practicing the skills necessary to open the restaurant. Seniors are utilizing their leadership skills in working with first-year students in teaching these skills.
During the first semester, the restaurant will be open during the week on Thursdays and Fridays.
The restaurant, which is open to the public, will open Oct. 31 and Nov. 1. The hours will be 10:46 a.m. to 12:54 p.m.

The annual Holiday Buffet will be offered Nov. 6 and 7, with seatings at 10:45 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.
The cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children under age 12. Reservations are suggested by calling 330-689-5213.
The Holiday Buffet menu will include: Vegetable lasagna alfredo, parmesan crusted tilapia, roasted chicken w/pan gravy, smashed garlic redskins, corn souffle, zucchini, carrot and squash and assorted desserts.
