Casino Night

The Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce will host a Casino Night March 8 at Underwood Hall, 1945 Mogadore Road, Kent. Doors open at 6 p.m., dinner will be served and tables will open at 6:30 p.m. Coat is $70 per person.

There will be 18 tables for sponsors on a first come, first served basis: 11 blackjack, one hold 'em, once craps, one let it ride, one roulette, one Caribbean stud, one three-card and one chuck a luck.

The cost is $125 dollars which includes displaying the advertiser's name and contact information and the dealer will pass out the advertiser's business cards for each person at the table.

Also, there will be a money sponsor. The money sponsor will get their logo and information on every cash dollar and their business cards will be "clipped" to the money. The money sponsor will go to the highest bidder and starts at $400.

Chamber is also asking for major prizes for the auction and auction items for the prize money at the end of the night. A total of 35 awards are being sought.

November Luncheon Meeting

Join us Nov. 20 for our monthly membership luncheon at the Tallmadge Community Center, 80 Community Road. Our speaker this month is Smokey Everitt from the U.S. Secret Service Department. Networking begins at 11:20 a.m. with lunch served at 11:50 a.m. Make reservations before Nov. 18 to the Chamber office.

Santa at the

Community Center

Santa will arrive at the Community Center via fire truck Dec. 1 at 1 p.m. A photographer will be available to take photos, but parents are welcome to take their own photos. A decorated Christmas tree and a very large Christmas stocking full of gifts will also be raffled. Tickets are six for $5 or $1 each.

Open house, wine tasting

Montrose Mazda in Kent invites Chamber to join them Nov. 21 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. for an open house and vehicle service clinic. The event will allow attendees to learn more about their vehicles, receive a complimentary 50-point inspection and meet their top suppliers demonstrating the benefits of regularly maintaining new or pre-owned vehicles. Complimentary wines and catering by Teresa's Pizza along with gift bags for participants will be featured. Make reservations by contacting Emoher@GoMontrose.com or call 330-673-2100.

Adopt A Foster Child program

The Chamber has teamed up with member National Youth Advocate Program once again to provide Christmas gifts to the Foster Youths of NYAP. For the past several years, Chamber members have generously donated their time and efforts to supply the children with two gifts each, which are received at their Christmas party in December. Chamber members have been generous each year and we look forward to another year of participation.

The children's wish list has been sent to members and the deadline to drop off gifts, either to the Chamber office or directly to the NYAP office,is Dec. 11.

One business card a month will be drawn at the luncheon meetings.
