Tallmadge Branch Library hours

beginning Jan. 6

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday -- 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

• Wednesday, Friday -- Noon to 6 p.m.

• Saturday -- 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Closed Sunday

Coffee with the Editor will be moved from the third Wednesday of the month to the third Tuesday of the month, the time, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., will remain the same.

Preschool programs

Yoga and Stories for the Very Young -- Jan. 13, 10:30 a.m. for children ages 3 through 5. Registration requested, limit of 20. Nirvana Yoga will present a 30-minute program featuring story, yoga, breathing and meditation designed specifically for preschoolers and an adult companion. Stay afterwards to share a healthy snack.



For children in kindergarten through fifth grade.

Art Lab -- Jan. 13, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Let your inner artist shine through and make some cool art to take home.

Teen Programs

Teen Movie -- "Man of Steel," Jan. 14, 4 p.m. for grades 6 through 12. A young boy learns he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. The hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind. Rated PG-13, 148 minutes.

Adult Programs

National Get Organized Month -- Jan. 7, 7 p.m. Sharon Kreighbaum, owner of Staged Makeovers, will discuss organizing questions. Advance registration requested.

Meditation 101 -- Jan. 15, 7 p.m. What is meditation? How does one begin? Where can I learn how? Join Paul DiFranco, clinical and spiritual hypnotherapist C.Ht., to discuss these questions and experience the self-healing aspects of meditation.

Book Discussions -- Mondays, 6:30 p.m.

• Jan. 13 -- "The Redbreast" by Jo Nesbo

Knit & Crochet Club -- Jan. 9, Feb. 6, 3 to 4:30 p.m. All levels of expertise and all ages welcome. Free supplies provided to get participants started.
