State of the City

Mayor Dave Kline will deliver his State of the City Address to Chamber at its Jan. 15 luncheon meeting at Tallmadge Community Center, 80 Community Road. Kline will review the city's accomplishments in 2013 and where the city is headed in 2014. Doors open at 11:20 a.m. with lunch served at 11:50 a.m. Lunch is $12 and reservations are required.

Bagels & Breakfast Networking

Please join us at our next Bagels & Breakfast event at Montrose Mazda, 1127 W. Main St. in Kent, Jan. 21 at 7:30 a.m. Frank Salimone, from the Montrose Group, will facilitate the event. Take plenty of business cards to distribute to others. Lots of fun and plenty of leads.

After Five

Networking Event

Please join us for an After Five Networking event with Sean Gordon at Blue Target Firearms, 294 West Ave., from 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 30.

Casino Night

The Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce will host a Casino Night March 8 at Underwood Hall, 1945 Mogadore Road, Kent. Doors open at 6 p.m., dinner will be served and tables will open at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $70 per person which includes dinner, drinks and "play" money.

There will be 18 tables for sponsors on a first come, first served basis: 11 blackjack, one hold 'em, once craps, one let it ride, one roulette, one Caribbean stud, one three-card and one chuck a luck.

The cost is $125 dollars which includes displaying the advertiser's name and contact information and the dealer will pass out the advertiser's business cards for each person at the table.

Also, there will be a money sponsor. The money sponsor will get their logo and information on every cash dollar and their business cards will be "clipped" to the money. The money sponsor will go to the highest bidder and starts at $400.

Chamber is also asking for major prizes for the auction and auction items for the prize money at the end of the night. A total of 35 awards are being sought.

Featured Business of the Month

Jerry Feeman was drawn for the Business of the Month at our December meeting. If you would like to participate in our Featured Business of the Month program, just attend the luncheons and "drop" your business card into the basket to be drawn for the Business of the Month. You will get your business name featured on our website, and a short blurb" in the Chamber Chatter column in the Tallmadge Express, along with a mention in our next newsletter. One business card a month will be drawn at the luncheon meetings.
