Public hearing set for 'Tallmadge Town Center' project

The Tallmadge Planning and Zoning Commission scheduled a public hearing for a real estate developer's request for a conditional zoning certificate for a property near the Circle.

The public hearing is set to take place at 7:02 p.m., March 6, at City Hall.

Mota Design Group Inc., a company affiliated with Testa Companies of Cuyahoga Falls, is requesting a conditional zoning certificate for a portion of the property at 76 North Ave., the lot to the north of the city's municipal building. The change in zoning is for the second of three phases of its planned mixed-use development called "Village at Town Center."

The developer has requested conditional zoning that would allow buildings for medical, office and child and adult daycares.

During the public hearing, the Commission will allow the developer to speak about its plans for Phase II and the public to comment about the request.
