Arc of Summit, Portage counties to host reverse raffle, auction
The Arc of Summit and Portage counties will host its 27th annual Reverse Raffle and Auction April 25 at Guy's Party Centre, 500 E. Waterloo Road, Akron.
The event includes a dinner, a $2,000 grand prize and a reverse raffle, as well as a live and silent auction. All proceeds raised at the event will be used to directly benefit the people served through The Arc.
The Arc of Summit and Portage counties is a nonprofit organization that advocates for people with developmental disabilities, including Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy and other diagnoses. For more than 60 years, The Arc has been on the front lines of change for people with developmental disabilities. The Arc helps individuals achieve life goals and participate in the community by creating opportunities for education, employment, housing and recreation. The local chapter is just one of more than 700 chapters across the nation working together to change public attitudes and foster respect, access and inclusion.
Local merchants have donated merchandise and gift certificates for the auction. Corporate sponsorships and tables are also available. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and the silent auction. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. The silent and live auctions will feature entertainment tickets, sports memorabilia, jewelry, artwork and a variety of gift baskets.
The 27th Reverse Raffle and Auction is open to the public. Individual tickets are $75 per person and reserved tables of eight are $500. All donations to the event are tax deductible.
