Photos, submissions sought for Deyarmin Honor Wall

The 10th annual Lance Cpl. Daniel "Nate" Deyarmin Jr. Memorial Benefit Poker Run has been scheduled for June 8 at Tallmadge Middle School, 484 East Ave.

The annual event includes an Honor Wall which displays photos of those who have served in the military.

The Deyarmin Foundation welcomes photos and information on servicemen and women -- living, deceased or currently serving. While it is preferred the photo features the individual in military garb, it is not mandatory. The photos and information are placed on a large sheet of rolled paper and laminated. Pictures cannot be returned. The wall, which is currently measures 200 feet in length, is displayed each year at the benefit. Photo submissions and written submissions to accompany the photos can be up to 8-inches by 10-inches.

The Deyarmin Foundation recognizes there are others out there who need to share their special hero with others.

The Daniel Nathan Deyarmin Jr. Memorial benefit is all about American veterans. It serves to honor the memory of Nate, a 2002 Tallmadge High School graduate who died Aug. 1, 2005, in Haditha, Iraq, and with the money raised, American veterans are helped throughout the year.

The deadline for submitting photos with information to be displayed is June 1. There is no charge.

Mail photos and information to: Robin Newman, 689 S. Munroe Road, Tallmadge 44278.
