Kiwanis Aktion Club has a new home

The Kiwanis Aktion Club is a community service club for adults who live with a disability. The mission of the Aktion Club is to provide these adults an opportunity to:

• Develop initiative and leadership skills

• Serve their community

• Integrate into society

• Demonstrate the dignity and value of citizens living with disabilities

Aktion Club members strive to return to their communities the benefits, help, and caring they have received, as well as develop important skills in the process. Aktion Club is the newest member of the sponsored organizations and programs at Kiwanis International.

Aktion Club of Summit County meets at 6 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month. Starting in September, the club will meet at the First Congregational Church of Tallmadge, 85 Heritage Drive.

The club is currently conducting a Gourmet Hot Chocolate sale to raise funds to support club service projects.

The Ron & Frank's Gourmet Hot Chocolate Mixes are available in 1 pound containers and makes approximately 25, 7-ounce servings or 14, 10-ounce servings.

Contact Ron Mitchell at 330-633-4055 for more information.
