The group REALIZE Firearms Awareness Coalition will host its third annual Preppers Ball March 11 at the Summit County Fairgrounds

This Tallmadge-based event mixes education with fundraising for REALIZE and their firearms safety mission. This is the third year and offers education with over a dozen presenters and speakers educating the group on a variety of topics ranging from book authors speaking on armed defense, to advice on raising chickens.

Amanda Suffecool, director of the not-for-profit group REALIZE firearms awareness coalition stated that "We have a terrific lineup of speakers, taking place on three stages within the facility. The QRFOhio will be in speaking on Preparedness and what it means to your family, Progressive Fighting Systems will be offering some hands on training from a former navy seal. And then we have Jennifer giving advice on raising chickens. We try to offer a diverse mix of speakers and seminars so that we appeal to all levels of Preppers."

Radio personalities Bob and Karen Golic will emcee the program with the assistance of former Portage County commissioner Tommie Jo (Marsillio) Brode. They will be on the main stage, leading the event and letting folks know where and when different programs will be taking place.

As part of the event, and in conjunction with the Prepping theme, REALIZE is offering ticketholders a chance to win more than 10,000 worth of prizes ranging from Preppers Buckets, to firearms to food preservation items.
