People Serving People is a local sewing group founded by Hannah Seeker of Tallmadge 26 years ago. Her daughter, Ruth Hoisington, has subsequently taken over as the group's leader.
The group currently has 19 members which serve 25 organizations.
The group, which operates on donations only, also makes items for children in a Kosovo orphanage and in Africa.
People Serving People members invite the community to attend their meetings, which are scheduled Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon at the American Indian Cultural Center, 11 West Ave.
There is much to do for both sewers and non-sewers.
