One of the oldest car shows in America, the 60th annual Classic, Antique & Collector Car Show at Stan Hywet is scheduled for June 18 from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. presented in collaboration with the Ohio Region Classic Car Show of America (ORCCCA).
This annual Father's Day event showcases more than 400 classic, antique and collector cars manufactured between 1915 and 1992. To celebrate the diamond year of the Car Show, a variety of stock 1957 vehicles will on display in front of the Manor House.
Stan Hywet is located at 714 N. Portage Path in Akron.
In addition to enjoying vehicles from many decades, the Father's Day Car Show offers a complete day of fun for guests. Eddie and the Edsels perform on the Courtyard Stage from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
At the Kids' Course presented by Summit Racing Equipment, children may take a lap in pedal cars resembling the classics on display in the Car Show.
Volunteers from the Cuyahoga Valley National Park will be located at the Ohio & Erie Canalway Questing station, distributing rhyming clues to "treasure" boxes hidden throughout Stan Hywet.
Guests also have to opportunity to stroll the gardens, including the new Pollinator Garden near the Corbin Conservatory. Families with children will enjoy Playgarden, and Homes of Nature near the Corbin Conservatory.
Picnic fare will be available for purchase from the Winking Lizard and Molly's Caf.
General admission to the Father's Day Car Show is $14 for adults and $6 for youth, ages 6 through 17. Stan Hywet member prices are $11 for member adults and $5 for member youth, ages 6-17. Children 5 and younger are admitted free. There is no onsite parking at Car Show, but free parking and shuttle service is available throughout the day.
