Akron Symphonic Winds -- July 15

The Akron Symphonic Winds has been formed as part of our Akron musician's union, a chapter of the American Federation of Musicians. It's goal is to offer admission-free concerts to the public throughout Summit, Medina, Wayne and Portage Counties. The band is comprised of local professional musicians who perform regularly throughout Northeast Ohio. Akron Symphonic Winds' mission is to bring high-quality, live music to the community, supporting music in the schools and reaching diverse audiences of all ages. They perform a wide-range of repertoire, including wind ensemble classic literature, light classics, show tunes, music from favorite movies and popular music for children.

The Chardon Polka Band -- July 22

The Chardon Polka Band is not your average polka band. They are a group that brings new life and energy to this traditional music. While the group has an extensive catalogue of traditional polkas, they are not afraid to bring their own tunes into the mix along with polka-pop covers of artists like Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga. From performing at an NFL game to headlining for some of the largest Oktoberfests in the nation to opening for the prestigious Cleveland Orchestra; the band loves pleasing crowds anywhere and everywhere.

The Diamond Project -- July 29 The band is dedicated to performing a true replication of the musical stylings of a live Neil Diamond concert. Rather than give the audience a straight studio version of Neil's classics, they are striving to incorporate the excitement, energy and musicianship that only a live show can provide. "Our commitment to our audience is to leave you with the satisfaction that you have experienced a true and well deserved tribute to one of America's foremost talents," band members say.

LaFlavour -- Aug. 5

Legendary local dance band LaFlavour will celebrate 50 years of music during Tallmadge's Music on the Circle Concert Series. The band, which still has its original lineup intact, is well known for its energetic live performances featuring dance and pop songs from the '70s, '80s, '90s and today. The band had a chart topping hit in the 1980s with the song "Mandolay" and continues to perform for enthusiastic audiences all over the country.
