Family Fun Day at Lions Park Saturday, July 22, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m Come hungry and ready to play! We will be offering games and activities for all ages to play (Pickleball, Basketball, Scooters, Kickball, & More). Take a break for lunch as Fork Fuel Food Truck will be selling food the entire time! Follow our Facebook page by searching for 'Tallmadge Rec' for more information.

Annual Rec Center Shutdown -- The Tallmadge Recreation Center will be closed August 11-13 for our annual shutdown. We will reopen on Monday, August 14, at 5 am. Some areas of the facility may have limited use the week of Aug. 13.

Farmer's Market -- Runs through Oct. 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the TRC parking lot. The Tallmadge Farmer's Market features local vendors selling fresh fruits and vegetables, breads, cookies, flowers, baked goods, dog treats, cheese and seasonal items. There are typically about 30 different vendors throughout the season. For more information or to reserve a spot, contact Andrea Kidder at 330-633-5639.

Music on the Circle -- These free summer concerts take place on Saturday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tallmadge Circle. Take a chair or blanket to sit on and kick back for a relaxing good time.

Maca Pool Passes at the TRC -- Maca pool passes are on sale now at the TRC at regular season rates. Contact the TRC for prices. Maca will be open daily, weather permitting, through Aug. 14. Hours are Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Cabana rentals at Maca -- Rent a private cabana for the day. Rentals are available to Maca members for $30 per day. Call the pool at 330-633-2117 to reserve a date. Rentals must be made 24 hours in advance and payments must be made at the time of reservation. Rain-outs will be rescheduled.

Summer College Passes -- TRC is offering a summer deal for college students home from school for the summer. College passes are on sale now through Aug. 31 and will be valid for 117 days from purchase. Cost for a blue membership is $85 for residents and $100 for non-residents and cost for a gold membership is $110 for residents and $125 for non-residents. A valid college ID is required at time of purchase.

Spirit Wear available -- The TRC is selling athletic gear emblazoned with its logo. Sample items and information on how to order are available at the front desk.

Gift Cards -- Gift cards are on sale now at the TRC. Gift cards are available in any amount and can be used towards a Tallmadge Recreation Center membership, Maca membership, program or facility rental. Stop by the front desk to purchase cards.

Birthday Parties -- Parents may reserve the party room at the TRC for their child's next birthday party. All birthday party room reservations include pizza and pop, decorations and party supplies for the chosen theme, use of equipment (playground, courts or soccer field), a party hostess, set up and clean up. Parents may also host a birthday party at Maca Pool. All party rentals include a reserved table in the concessions area for two hours, pizza and pop for eight children and two adults, paper products, set up and clean up. YOUTH PROGRAMS

Lego Club - Monday, July 31, 6 to 7 pm. Kids in grades K-5 can come to Lego Club at the Rec! This is a great way to use your imagination and create. Each month there will be a mystery theme, and children are encouraged build from the theme and more. Creations will be displayed at the Rec Center for the community to see. Cost: $4/resident, $6/non-resident.

Before and After School Care -- Before & After School Care offers a safe place for school age children ages 5 through 13 years old during the school year who attend Tallmadge City Schools. The Before & After School Care Program at TRC now includes scheduled activities, including fitness activities, organized group games and homework/quiet time. The program follows the Tallmadge City School District holiday calendar. Call the TRC at 330-634-2349 and ask for a copy of the Extended Care Information Packet for more details.

ADULT PROGRAMS

Fall Coed Softball League -- two softball leagues are being offered this fall: Sunday Coed and Monday Coed. League play will begin the week of Aug. 13. All leagues play at Lions Park. All games of this 12-game season will be doubleheaders. Be aware that if there are an excessive number of rainouts, teams may be asked to play an additional day of the week for make up games. Players must be 18 years or older to play. Cost is $290 per team plus umpire fees of $10 per team per game paid in cash to the umpire on the field. Registration ends July 30 or when leagues are full.

Flag Football at Lions Park -- Aug. 13 and 20, with games as early as 8 a.m. This five-on-five single elimination tournament will be played at Lions Park. Players must be 18 and older. Winners will receive T-shirts. Cost is $50 per team plus $15 referee fees per team/game paid in cash on the field. Registration ends July 30 or when it is full.
