Tallmadge High School and Park Ford hosted its Drive One 4UR School event Sept. 10. During what has become an annual fundraiser for the school, people sign up to test drive Fords, and for each test drive, Park Ford of Tallmadge donates $20 to the high school, which is used to purchase senior graduation signs, support after prom activities and raise money for a senior scholarship. "We needed 300 drivers to meet the maximum allowed by Ford and we exceeded that number," said Tallmadge High School Principal Becky DeCapua, adding "Our cap for the day was $8,000, and I believe we met that amount." DeCapua was right, as a check in the amount of $8,000 was presented to her by Park Ford President Mike Iemma and General Sales Manager Rick Keck Dec. 19. Above, those on hand for the check presentation were back row from left: Nick Robinson, Andrew Shannon, Colton Stricker, Jonny Davis, Nick Carey, Chris Gray, CJ Berg, Keck, DeCapua, Chris Koza and Iemma. Seated: Katie Schubauer, Marisa Warmenhoven, Angel Scianna, Nina M. Hussing, Alex Shannon, Abbey Hagenbaugh and Courtney Gonzales. "Mike and Rick delivered the best Christmas present ever," said DeCapua. "I am so grateful for the DriveOne4URSchool opportunity. The cooperation between Park Ford and our Tallmadge parents and students is such a blessing. The money earned allows us to support student incentives and to offer well-deserved scholarships to our graduating seniors. I am so grateful."
