University of Akron
Travis Boll of Tallmadge completed Culture Quest for fall semester. To complete Culture Quest, Boll, a political science/American politics major, participated in at least five cultural events at The University of Akron.
Culture Quest is an initiative at The University of Akron to build a student's intellect by crossing borders, literally. For Culture Quest, UA's faculty develop a series of events for students to gain problem-solving skills in real life experiences each semester. The events are chosen to incorporate a wide discipline with the intent to get students out of the familiar and into the unknown through lectures, activities, and even studying abroad. The fall semester's events covered topics such as ethnic representations in the ROTC, biomimicry, economics and politics.
Rachel Dawson, a sophomore intervention specialist major from Tallmadge was named to the dean's list at Malone University. To be named to the dean's list, a student must carry a minimum of 12 credit hours and earn a grade-point average of 3.5 or better.
