New student K-8 registration dates set
Tallmadge City Schools will host registration days for all new students in kindergarten through eighth grade. This is an opportunity for families to register all of their students at a single location. Staff from Dunbar, Munroe and Tallmadge Middle School will help families register and answer questions.
Registration dates for new K-8 students will be Aug. 6, 7 and 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the McCombs Education Center. Families will be registered on a first come, first served basis during these time frames. See the Enrollment/Registration link at www.tallmadgeschools.org for more information and to help ensure you have the required materials when you arrive.
New student in grades nine through 12 should call Tallmadge High School Guidance at 330-633-3291 ext. 1071 to schedule an appointment with a counselor.
The McCombs Education Center is located at 486 East Ave. along the driveway into Tallmadge Middle School.
Summit Racing and Tallmadge Rotary are once again providing back-to-school backpacks for nearly 500 Tallmadge students. The program provides students with backpacks as well as school supplies. The cooperative effort is designed to help economically stressed families.
Superintendent Jeffrey Ferguson said he is thankful for the support. "The program is a great example of the many sources of support our schools and families receive from Tallmadge businesses. Summit Racing and the Tallmadge Rotary are committed to student success and we appreciate their continuing generosity."
Families interested in participating in the program should stop by the McCombs Education Center (MEC) at 486 East Ave. beginning Aug. 6. The MEC is open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
