ADVANCED METALS CLASS SEEKING BICYCLES
Bikes Wanted! The bicycle chop-shop is back. The Advanced Metals class at Tallmadge High School is designing and engineering human-powered machines for their final project. Students will be welding, machining and fabricating their machines from recycled bicycles. Bikes and bike parts of all shapes and sizes are needed. BUILDERS CLUB OFFERS FREE IN-HOME SAFETY CHECKS
The Tallmadge Middle School Builders Club, sponsored by the Tallmadge Kiwanis Club, islooking to help senior citizens through their "Senior Citizens Safety Program." The program's goal is to provide help and support to older Tallmadge residents who may be empty-nesters, or those who are living alone, to be safe in their homes. Seniors who choose to participate can make an appointment to schedule a free, in-home safety inspection. The safety team will be checking for easy-to-read house numbers, a clear path to the main entrance door, a working door bell and front porch light, an emergency lock-box, a list of easy-to-find emergency phone numbers and working phone, a working smoke/gas detector, and a first-aid kit.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION DATES
Tallmadge City School District's 2017-18 kindergarten registration will take place April 6 at Dunbar Primary School,731 Dunbar Road.
There will be an afternoon session at 1:30 p.m. and an evening session at 6:30 p.m. Parents and guardians who have a child who will be 5-years-old on or before Aug. 1 are encouraged to attend one of the registration times. Students are not required to attend.
Parents and guardians who plan to attend are encouraged to complete the online registration forms prior to attending on April 6. The forms are available on the district's website, www.tallmadgeschools.org. Click the registration tab and choose kindergarten.
Computers will also be available at the school for individuals who are unable to complete the forms beforehand. Paper forms are no longer available.
"This is a great time for our parents to meet our team and connect with other kindergarten parents," said Courtney Davis, Dunbar and Munroe Elementary School's principal. "We are looking forward to the new school year and welcoming our future Tallmadge graduates."
