The Andrea Rose Teodosio Foundation will host the inaugural Angel Art Auction, an angel-art themed auction, inspired by the late Andrea Rose Teodosio, on Feb. 6 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

The auction will benefit the establishment of an interactive art education area at the proposed Akron Children's Museum.

"We're excited to see the room come to life with gorgeous heavenly pieces from local and national artists," said Jill Skapin, event chairperson. "Andrea dedicated her life to caring for others, particularly children. Therefore, we feel the Children's Museum is the perfect beneficiary of this event."

The Angel Art Auction will include silent, live and roaming bidding options. Art pieces include a Black Keys poster signed by both the artist and the Black Keys, art by Mark Mothersbaugh of DEVO, sculptures by Don Drumm and Mark Soppeland and a number of other pieces.

More than 60 artists have donated a piece of art, including Annette Boncek from Tallmadge, Nicholas D. Frankovits of Hudson, and Care Hanson of Stow,

The cost of the event is $50 and will be at John S. Knight Center. Visit www.andrearose.org for information and tickets. Tickets may also be purchased at the door, but call 330-607-3919 so organizers can get a head count.
