GroundWorks DanceTheatre debuts new work

GroundWorks DanceTheater will feature the Akron premiere of "House Broken" by Miami-based guest choreographer Rosie Herrera at the Akron-Summit County Public Library on March 29 at 7:30 p.m.

The innovative and award-winning company will also perform "LUNA" by GroundWorks Artistic Director David Shimotakahara and "For the Life of Me" (2008) by GroundWorks Artistic Associate Amy Miller.

Tickets are $25 for preferred seating, $20 for general admission and $10 for students, and can be purchased at http://groundworksdance.org or 216-751-0088. The Akron-Summit County Public Library is located at 60 S. High Street in Akron.

GroundWorks world premiere of "House Broken" was commissioned with the support of Chuck and Charlotte Fowler to the GroundWorks NewWorks Fund. The Fund was initiated in June 2011 to support the commissioning, creation and production of new work made in collaboration with GroundWorks DanceTheater.

"House Broken" contains some content not suitable for children.
