Sisters in Art formed in 2007 as a group of 15 professional women artists showcasing classical and contemporary painting styles. Its mission is to further the creative efforts of women artists in Northeast Ohio.

The organization will host an exhibition featuring original award winning works of oil, acrylic, pastel, watercolor, graphite and mixed media.

The exhibition, which represents artists from four Northeastern Ohio counties, is open through Oct. 27. A Meet the Artists Reception will take place Sept. 25 from noon until 2:00 p.m. at The Gallery of St. Paul's at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1361 West Market St. in Akron.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon, and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Call the church office at 330-836-9327 for details.
