COLUMBUS — The Ohio Senate moved legislation Tuesday naming 40 highways in the state in memory of military men and women, police officers and others killed in the line of duty.
The list included one Tallmadge man, Lance Corporal Daniel Nathan Deyarmin Jr., who was killed in August 2005 in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Substitute House Bill 325 names a section of Interstate 76, running from State Routes 91 to 532 in Summit County, after Deyarmin.
Substitute House Bill 325 passed on a unanimous vote of 32-0 and heads back to the Ohio House for further consideration before being forwarded to Gov. John Kasich for his signature.
