Tallmadge -- The city of Tallmadge swears in Jason T. Corzine as a new, full-time police officer during a City Council meeting Thursday.
Corzine, a 2007 graduate of Tallmadge High School, is the police department's 23rd officer.
He has a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of Akron, where he played baseball, and works as a part-time police officer at Robinson Memorial Hospital in Ravenna and the Springfield Township Police Department.
He's scheduled to start at the Tallmadge Police Department Friday.
