Tallmadge man ejected from car in Suffield crash

Record-Courier Staff Reports Published:

An 18-year-old Suffield resident died in a one-car crash near Route 43 in Suffield March 6 that also injured a Tallmadge man.

Sgt. Don Dunbar of the Ravenna Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, said Alaina Ord was a passenger in a vehicle traveling westbound on Trares Road near the intersection with Route 43 when it went off the right side of the road, struck an embankment and rolled over.

Ord was ejected from the vehicle, and was transported to the Summit County Medical Examiner's office by the Suffield Fire Department following the crash.

Dunbar said the car's driver, Jonathon Clark, 20, of Tallmadge, was also ejected during the crash. He was transported to Akron City Hospital.

A representative of Akron City Hospital could not confirm Clark's condition or whether he was still a patient at the hospital.

Dunbar said it is not yet known if drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.

No criminal charges had been filed by press time.
