A Cuyahoga Falls Library employee has been indicted on a pair of felony charges related to the theft of more than $350,000 since 2007 from the library.
On Aug. 7, a Summit County grand jury indicted Theresa M. Karm, 54, of Tallmadge, on an aggravated theft charge and a theft in office charge, both third-degree felonies.
Karm, the library's fiscal officer, was charged June 24 by Cuyahoga Falls police. She is scheduled to be arraigned Aug. 21 before Magistrate John H. Shoemaker.
A phone call to Karm's attorney, Michael B. Bowler, was not returned by press time Aug. 15.
Karm started working at the library in June 1996. According to Library Director Kevin Rosswurm, she "was terminated (for cause) on March 13, 2013," but he declined to offer more details.
