Tallmadge -- In response to upcoming state-mandated changes, Tallmadge City Schools is continuing to partner with outside organizations for certain services.
At its meeting Wednesday, the Board of Education authorized the school administration to contract with the Summit County Educational Service Center for a part-time administrator to complete teacher evaluations, among other tasks. The school district also hired an EMIS [Education Management Information System] coordinator last month through a company called NEOnet that collects and manages data about the school district.
"We're very blessed here in Summit County that we have a great Educational Service Center," Superintendent Jeff Ferguson told the Tallmadge Express. "They are constantly working to provide services in which a number of districts can partner to make a service affordable. Every time we save money that way, we're able to put it right back into the classroom."
