Tallmadge man arrested for trafficking heroin

A Tallmadge man was arrested Friday for trafficking heroin, according to the Summit County Sheriff's department.

The Summit County Drug Unit executed a search warrant on Gold Street in Akron.


Christopher Hale, 47, of Tallmadge was arrested trafficking in drugs - heroin, a fourth-degree felony. Brian L. Williams,  51, of Akron was arrested for trafficking in drugs - heroin, a fifth-degree felony.

A 2006 BMW and approximately $1,700 were seized.

Hale and Williams were booked into the Summit County Jail. Additional charges may be pending .

The Summit County Drug Unit is comprised of the following agencies: Summit County Sheriff’s Office, Akron Police Department, The University of Akron Police, Barberton Police, Cuyahoga Falls Police, Stow Police, Copley Police, Reminderville police, New Franklin PD, Springfield PD, DEA, FBI and ATF.
