Tallmadge — Tallmadge Police arrested a man on heroin charges at Saxon Village Apartments on North Thomas Road March 19.

According to Operations Commander Lt. Ron Williams, Antwon D. Watson, 21, of Akron, is charged with one count each of aggravated trafficking and aggravated possession of heroin, both fourth-degree felonies.

After monitoring the apartments for several days, Tallmadge police obtained a search warrant and, with the assistance of the Summit County Sherriff’s SWAT team, conducted a raid the evening of the arrest.

At the time he was arrested, Watson allegedly possessed 2 grams of heroin and more than $1,000 in cash.

Watson, who police say is on parole for a previous burglary conviction, is in the Summit County Jail awaiting an initial appearance in Stow Municipal Court.
