Tallmadge Post Office to be renamed after Lance Cpl. 'Nate' Deyarmin Jr.

Tallmadge --The U.S. House of Representatives authorized legislation Monday to rename the Tallmadge branch of the Post Office the "Lance Corporal Daniel Nathan Deyarmin Jr. Post Office Building."

Rep. Tim Ryan sponsored the legislation in honor of Deyarmin, a Tallmadge resident and Marine who died in the line of duty in Iraq on Aug. 1, 2005.

Deyarmin, a 2002 graduate of Tallmadge High School, was 22 years old when he died.

The post office is located at 162 Northeast Ave.

The section of Interstate 76 between routes 91 and 532 near Summit Racing was dedicated to Deyarmin last May.
