Food Truck Festival draws over 5,000 to Tallmadge

Tallmadge Recreation Department and the Tallmadge Chamber of Commerce hosted their inaugural Tallmadge Food Truck Festival at the TRC June 1 from noon to 6 p.m. Nine food trucks were in attendance, including The Nosh Box (Southern, home-style comfort food), Zydeco Bistro (Creole and Cajun cuisine), The Stone Pelican Rolling Café (wraps and quesadillas), Boca Loca Burrito Factory (burritos), Mobile Sushi Bar (made-to-order sushi and other Asian cuisine), Sweet! Mobile Cupcakes (cupcakes), East Coast Custard (Frozen Custard) and PopSmith (Popsicles). Chamber sold pop and water to benefit local charities. The event was designed for all ages, featuring a performance by The Swizzle Stick Band and activities and games for children. According to Assistant Recreation Facility Manager Jessica Simons, more than 5,000 people came out to sample the international cuisine.
