Tallmadge — The U.S. Senate passed a bill July 10 that, if signed by President Barack Obama, would rename the Tallmadge branch of the Post Office the “Lance Corporal Daniel Nathan Deyarmin Jr. Post Office Building.”
U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown introduced the bill April 26, 2013. He partnered with U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan, who sponsored the original legislation the U.S. House of Representatives passed in March.
The building, located at 162 Northeast Ave., would be renamed in honor of Daniel “Nate” Deyarmin, a Tallmadge resident and Marine who died in the line of duty in Iraq on Aug. 1, 2005.
