4.1 Property & Liabilty Insurance
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the request for authorization to accept the renewal of Tallmadge City School District’s Liability, Property, and Fleet Insurance with Liberty Mutual at a cost of $71,320 for 2014-2015.

4.2 Tallmadge High School Handbook
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the Tallmadge High School Handbook for the 2014-2015 school year.

4.3 Agreement for Services
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the Agreement for Services between Tallmadge City School District and Akron Children’s Hospital to provide audiological services for the 2014-2015 school year in the amount of $3,300.00.

4.4 Contracted Services
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve Harbor Educational - LEAP as an alternative education provider for the 2014-2015 school year in the amount of $140,000.00.

4.5 Contracted Services
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve contracted services with The Summit County E.S.C. - Kids First Program for the 2014-2015 school year in the amount of $60,000.00

4.6 Overnight Out-of-Town Field Trip
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the new members of Leaders in Action to attend their annual overnight Leadership Retreat at Camp Carl in Ravenna, OH from Thursday, September 18, 2014 through Friday, September 19, 2014.

4.7 Overnight Out-of-Town Field Trip
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve an overnight, out-of-town field trip for Tallmadge High School cross country teams to travel to McCuchenville, Ohio to attend a Team Cross Country Camp from August 3 - 7, 2014.

4.8 Overnight Out-of-Town Field Trip
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve an overnight, out-of-town field trip for Tallmadge High School Cheerleading Squads to travel to Denison, Ohio to participate in the Denison University Cheerleading Team Camp from July 24 - 26, 2014.

4.9 Contracted Services
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve contracted services with Pisanick Partners, LLC, for food service consulting for the 2014-15 school year in the amount of $25,000.

5. Personnel Items

5.1 Resignation
It is recommended that the Board of Education accept the resignation of Kimberly Hussing, 4th Grade Teacher, effective June 18, 2014.

5.2 Resignation
It is recommended that the Board of Education accept the resignation of Betty DeRemer, Kitchen/Cleaner, effective July 3, 2014.

5.3 Resignation Due to Retirement
It is recommended that the Board of Education accept the resignation due to retirement of Lisa House Burns, Grade 5 Teacher, effective August 1, 2014. Lisa has 30 years with Tallmadge City Schools.

5.4 Art Teacher - Dunbar Primary
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve Krystin Smith as the Art Teacher at Dunbar Primary School, effective August, 2014, to be placed on Step 1 - BA of the Teacher Salary Scale.

5.5 4th Grade Teacher
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve Mallory Reiber as a 4th Grade Teacher at Munroe Elementary School, effective August, 2014, to be placed on Step 3 - BA+15 of the Teacher Salary Scale.

5.6 4th Grade Teacher
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve hiring Emilee Vitez as 4th Grade Teacher at Munroe Elementary School, effective August, 2014, to be placed on Step 0 - BA of the Teacher Salary Scale.

5.7 4th Grade Teacher
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve Amanda Curfman as a 4th Grade Teacher at Munroe Elementary School, effective August, 2014, to be placed on Step 10 + Masters of the Teacher Salary Scale.

5.8 Half-Time Physical Education Teacher
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve hiring Collin Epstein as a half-time Physical Education Teacher for Tallmadge High School and Middle School, effective August, 2014, to be placed on Step 0 + Masters (50%) of the Teacher Salary Scale.

5.9 Supplemental Duty Contract
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the following supplemental duty contracts for the 2014-2015 school year.

5.10 Custodian
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve Betty DeRemer as Night Custodian at Tallmadge High School, effective July 14, 2014, to be placed on Step 2 of the negotiated salary scale.

5.11 Custodian
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve hiring Justin Ewing as Night Custodian - Tallmadge Middle School, effective July 21, 2014, to be placed on Step 0 of the negotiated salary scale.

5.12 Summer Custodial Help
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve Karen McClintock and Sandy Zickefoose as Summer Custodial Helpers on an as needed basis at a salary of $14.00/hour.

5.13 Maternity/Family Medical Leave
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve Maternity Leave at the beginning of the 2014-15 school year with Unpaid Family Medical Leave to follow with a return date of December 22, 2014 for Carolyn Williams, Intervention Specialist at Munroe Elementary School.

5.14 Maternity Leave/Family Medical Leave
It is recommended that the Board of Education approve Maternity Leave followed by Unpaid Family Medical Leave beginning approximately Monday, November 17, 2014 and returning on Monday, February 2, 2015 for Jennifer Stewart, THS Guidance Counselor.
