Search for Missing Woman Continues in Cuyahoga Valley National Park

Brecksville, Ohio - The search for Hillary K. Sharma continues in Cuyahoga Valley National Park.

The search started on Friday, August 22, and continued throughout Friday and Saturday with many participating agencies. The search has located personal items belonging to Sharma in a remote area of the park. Sunday's efforts will focus on a more targeted search.

The search has included ground teams with search dogs, horse patrol, boats on the Cuyahoga River, and a helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft. The search is being led by a joint incident command including the National Park Service, Valley Fire District, and Brecksville Fire Department.

On Sunday the search is staging from Boston Trailhead, which will be closed to the public. The parking for Boston Store Visitor Center, which had been closed, will reopen.

Sharma, age 30, is a resident of Eastlake, Ohio. She is 5'3" tall, weighs 120 pounds, and has brown hair and eyes. People who may have information about Sharma are asked to call the National Park dispatch office at (440) 546-5945.
